Lib Dem Candidates for Cheshire East Council Elections

The Liberal Democrats are fielding candidates across Crewe and Nantwich for the 1st May elections to the new Cheshire East Council, which will take over from the County and District Councils in May 2009.

In May 2008, there will be "all-out" elections for all wards based on the existing County Council electoral divisions. There will be three councillors elected for each of the 27 wards in Cheshire East, making 81 Councillors in total. From May 2008 until April 2009, the Council will act as a "Shadow" Council making preparations for the new Council coming into existence.

The Liberal Democrat team for the Crewe and Nantwich area wards of the new Council are:

  • Cholmondley - Richard Fox

  • Crewe East - Robert Icke

  • Crewe South - David Cannon, Elizabeth Howell and Stefan Krizanac

  • Crewe West - John Phillips

  • Doddington - Adrian Hancock

  • Nantwich - Brian Halson

  • Rope - Rene Hancock

There is no Liberal Democrat candidate for the Crewe North ward.
